The proceeds from the recent sale of the hand spun Great Pyreness yarn was donated to a local animal shelter.

Here is another hand spun and plied on drop spindle. The dyer of this fiber gave the proceeds of this colorway to HIV/AIDS research. So to pay it forward, I'm giving all the money from this skein to Moveable Feast which helps provide meals to those sick with HIV/AIDS.

Project Wednesday

So I have a group of girls I meet with every Wednesday to knit.  Since Wednesday is knitting day, I figured I would use Wednesdays here to share some fun knitting projects.  I'll be sharing things I have on the needles as well as past knits, patterns we like and maybe some projects my group are working on.

Fall is here!  That means break out those sweaters you knit last year to show them off and finish the one you started!  I have been working for some time on the Pinwheel Sweater.  Not that I am a slow knitter, I just have been so busy the knitting time is getting less and less.  This is such a fun knit.  You start in the middle of the sweater and work out.  It does get a little tedious once you get to those outer rows as there are A LOT of stitches.

 I am using Noro Transitions for the body and cuff and a Berroco Bulk for the sleeves.  As you can see it is close to being done!  I just need to finish the sleeve and enjoy it this fall.

Our latest addition!

So it has been almost a month since I have posted.  Well lets just say I have been a little busy!  On Sunday, August 5th at 5:44 am we welcomed the latest addition to the Trinity's Trinkets family.  Weighing 9 lbs 8 ozs and 22 inches in length meet Aiden!

At 2 weeks old now we are starting to settle into some routine.  I realized this morning the shop is a little low on a few things!  This week I plan to get in the shop and get a few things wiped out.  Here is hoping Aiden likes hanging out in the studio.  Stay tuned!

Exciting news!

Hello everyone and happy Friday!  You may have noticed the shop being a little stale as of late.  I have been busy busy trying to get ready for the arrival of our first wee one due pretty much any day now.  With all the preparations in place for the baby I have had no time to get in the studio to create new trinkets for the shop.  While it still may be a bit before I can get some new items up I do have a bit of exciting news!

As most of you know, Trinity's Trinkets has been a part time gig for me.  I have been working a Mon-Fri 9-5 job and working on shop items as I can.  Well, today is my last day as a 9-5 career girl.  After today I take on my new career as stay at home momma (SAHM) and business owner of Trinity's Trinkets.  I am so excited that my husband and I are able to do this and that he is fully supportive of this decision.

What does this mean for the shop?  While I know the baby is going to be a handful and will consume a good majority of my time, there will still be more time for me to devote to the shop.  I have so many ideas floating around in my head that I have just not had the time to make them happen.  Once baby gets here and we settle into a groove I am looking forward to sharing new items with our clients.
